A few things worth knowing

Small questions.
Clear answers.

From the first quote to looking after your website. Here’s how working with Counterform fits together.

Who are these websites for?

New businesses, sole traders and side hustles that need a clear, professional home online. A single page can introduce your business, explain your services, show your work and help customers contact you.

How much does a website cost?

I’ll give you a written quote based on the content and features you need. It sets out the build price, what’s included, payment stages and any separate costs before you commit. Tell me about your business to get started.

How quickly can my website go live?

We agree a delivery date before work begins, based on the brief, my availability and when your content will be ready. Prompt feedback helps keep the project moving. If anything changes, we’ll discuss the effect on the schedule.

What do I need to provide?

Your business details, services, contact information and any text, logo or photos you want to use. You’ll need permission to use anything you supply, including customer testimonials. If you need help shaping the content, let me know so I can include that in the quote.

Will it work on phones?

Yes. Your page is designed to adapt to mobile and desktop screens, with readable content and clear contact links. We check the agreed website on both before launch.

Can I ask for changes?

Yes. Your quote states how many rounds of feedback are included. A round means one combined list of changes within the agreed brief. If you want new features or a different direction, I’ll agree any extra cost and timing with you before doing that work.

Who owns the website and domain?

Your domain and hosting account should be in your name, with me invited to help manage them. The handover includes your website files once the agreed project balance is paid. Third-party fonts, software, stock assets and reusable components keep their own licence terms; your quote explains the ownership and usage rights for the project.

Are hosting, email and a domain included?

The quote explains any setup work included in the build. Domain registration, renewals, business email and paid services are separate unless expressly included. Suitable static websites can use a hosting provider’s free plan, subject to its limits and changing terms. You pay providers directly through your own accounts.

What happens after launch?

You receive a handover explaining your accounts, website files and how to request updates. Ongoing edits or care are optional and agreed separately. If something I delivered isn’t working as agreed, get in touch so I can investigate; a new feature or content update is a separate request.

Can you add a contact form, booking system or shop?

Email, phone and social links are straightforward ways for customers to contact you. Forms or links to an existing booking service can be discussed in the brief. Shops, memberships and custom booking systems need a separate assessment and quote. We agree any provider charges and data-handling requirements before adding them.

Do you use AI?

Yes. I use AI-assisted tools to make the build efficient and keep the price accessible. You work directly with me on the brief, content and design, and I review the finished work. Please don’t send passwords or sensitive customer information as website content.

Will my website appear at the top of Google?

A clear structure, page title and description help cover the search basics, but rankings, traffic and enquiries can’t be guaranteed. Ongoing search marketing and advertising are separate from a basic website build.
